Before moving to Japan, I decided to knit a doll for my daughter, Moemi. I used a circle loom I had picked up from the arts and crafts store. MICHEALS, and the idea was to make Moemi a little friend she could cherish. I was on a time crunch to finish it before Christmas, and while I managed to get the basics done, I didn’t have time to stitch the yarn hair. So, the doll ended up bald for a while. But you know what the cutest thing about the doll is? I dressed it up in Moemi's baby clothes from when she was an infant. 🥹 

About the hair thing...My family thought it was hilarious and couldn’t stop joking about it -_- , but eventually, I did manage to stitch the yarn hair onto it.

Knitting that doll reminded me how much I used to love knitting. I used to make scarves, sweaters, and all kinds of cozy projects. It’s been a while, but I’m starting to feel inspired to pick it up again. I’m even thinking about asking my parents to send over my old knitting kit (and maybe the doll!) from the States.

There’s something so calming and satisfying about creating something with your hands. I can’t wait to start again and see what new projects I can take on!
