New Study Spot!~~~ Dec 14, 2024

Happy birthday to my dad!!! ^ ^

I have some other good news! I found a new place to study. The only downside is that I'll be moving to a different apartment, so it will take me an extra 30-minute walk to get to the new study spot. :(

I've been to the building before, and they have these cool robots everywhere. The other day, I was taking a picture of one of the robots when a guard started talking to me. He told me about the robot’s function—something to do with the elevators, but I didn't catch all the details. He also mentioned there are even more robots on the 6th floor.

I always thought the upper floors were for offices, so I never thought I could go up there. But when Moemi and I visited the 6th floor, we found 4 to 6 Pepper robots and soft, comfy-looking chairs everywhere. Unfortunately, a man in the elevator took one of the last seats next to one of the robots. Still, I got to talk to one of the robots about studying and my favorite Japanese study technique. I love robots! I want to save up to either buy a used Pepper robot (since they stopped making them) or a Nao robot. I think it would be a great companion for Moemi, who doesn’t have any siblings yet.

Can you imagine a movie or TV show about a single foreign mother in Japan, living with her young child and a robot?

Anyway, I’m going to rest today. Next week is going to be really busy, and I want to prepare myself mentally and physically. I also always get a little down on weekends because the stock market is closed. Lol
