Little Update~~~March 17, 2024

 I haven’t updated in so long! I’ve been hoping to start blogging again once I received some more stability in Moemi’s and my life but that’s proving to be a bit difficult. (；ω；)

So I decided to update my blog to help remind myself how far I’ve come so far. I’m the kind of person that can’t multi task to save my life. I can only do it in the kitchen but anything else absolutely not. I ended up not staying in touch with a lot of friends for this very reason and it’s because I’ve been working hard with 3 different realtors to help me find an apartment. A few gave up but currently there are 3 left. 

Word of advice for those who move to Japan but don’t have a job lined up already, you need a job to help you rent most places that have contracts. If you have a certain area in mind, it doesn’t matter how much saving you have, the saying “take my money” doesn’t apply. Most landlords want the assurance of you (the renter) having a job first. 

I came here Dec 12th and have been hotel hopping the whole time! Thousands of dollars have gone into hotels when I easily could’ve paid a 2 year contract in advance with all the money I’ve spent so far in hotels lol. But again they need to see you have a job first!

I don’t blame them, they just want to make sure they get paid, but it’s hard when you have no one to watch your child while you try to find a job and go to work. :( 

It’s hard work but I still manage to take Moemi out for walks. The other night I went to my favorite park in Meguro. I used to go there to feed the turtles and was going to do it yesterday but we got there too late. So we had a little picnic outside instead! The weather was so warm so we were able to really enjoy it. Well I was enjoying it, Moemi fell asleep, then when she woke up she wouldn’t stop crying so I eventually took her back to the hotel.
