 I just realized I had “comments awaiting approval” That I didn’t notice until now. I had this blog for over a decade and had no idea I had changed the setting. lol I apologize I just assumed no one read my blog and I also deleted a lot of posts that the comments were made under. Again I’m very sorry. I did want to answer a few questions though!

 My daughter Moemi’s father does live in Tokyo, Japan as a Japanese national. We have known each other initially as friends since 2013, around the time I first came to Japan. 

Also when I went to Japan in the summer of last year, I was there to take an official paternity test. Moemi’s father voluntarily recognized Moemi and he took responsibility as her father. We agreed that Moemi should know his side of the family, especially his mother, which brings me to present day. I have to go to Japan to receive my Long Term Residency visa.. My lawyer explained that because Moemi is on her fathers family registry, she is considered a Japanese national so she can live in Japan as a dual citizen, until the age of 18, then she has to choose between the two. This process also took, about 6 months or so and many trips to the American embassy in America. 

As for me, in order to get my LTR visa I have to go to Japan first, I cannot apply for the visa outside of Japan. I plan on using a lawyer once we get to Japan, I’m actually already using him but he can’t do anything until I move. I was supposed to leave Nov 15 but there is still so much to do, so I decided to push the date back just a little further.
