Today Moemi and I headed to Roppongi because we had a reservation at the Grand Hyatt's "The French Kitchen" to have afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was inspired by the super popular manga "The Rose of Versailles." I went as a little late birthday present to myself. I also wanted Moemi to experience her first afternoon tea. This particular afternoon tea ends Nov 30, 2022. Afternoon tea is one of my favorite activities so I wanted to see if Moemi would enjoy it as well. She was so well behaved- she sat quietly and ate her sweets and gently drank her juice. I'm looking forward to spring 2024, many hotels that serve afternoon tea, incorporate cherry blossoms during the spring season. It may seem played out, but because they try to make it a little different each year, it's fun to see the creativity they bring to designing the afternoon tea set-up. Plus 2024 is probably when my Long Term residency Visa will be approved.
