It has been so hot here in Tokyo. My daughter and I have been going out almost everyday on these long walks and what makes it even hotter here is the fact that masks are mandatory even outside. *Edit* they are no longer mandatory outside but most people still wear them.* In Virginia almost no one would wear a mask out in public, especially when outdoors. But Japan is doing what they feel they need to do and I respect that. I had to stay at home on Sunday, though so I could tune into my church service online. Lifehouse church in Tokyo is my unofficial church home and I used to go there 3 years ago around the time I got pregnant. I really wanted to go in person but it was way too hot. Thankfully the online service was just as fun and Christ filled as being in person so I had no complaints. ♡ My relationship with God back then was really lacking but now I can't get enough of him! So something really wonderful has happened today! Step by step God is showing me his love ♡. I can't really talk about it now but what happened today can change the course of my daughter's and my life. All I have to say is that God is so good! Can I just say how excited I am for hanabi season to start? I already bought my daughter a little toddler yukata (summer kimono) from Don Quihote. It's adorable but a bit too big for her so I'm going to go back and see if I can get the size exchanged. It's so difficult to get her to stand still long enough to dress her in the yukata. I can't wait to show her the fireworks! Edit * Most to the hanabi events this year were canceled but that's okay! We can wait next year or the next if need be. Okay time to post pictures! This airbnb we rented had a whole bunch of extra beds. It was expensive because the apartment was so big but it was only Moemi and I. Moemi loves Doraemon! ♡ I must've seen at least 20 dead fish pass by while I was under the bridge on the phone with my mother. Karaoke while we wait to check into our next Airbnb in Koto-Ku. |
