Okay so this is a follow up to my previous blog entry where I announced my pregnancy! I know I'm a bit late..>_ > ...Okay I'm actually very late. My daughter is now 4 months and 3 weeks old! Let me just say it's been a roller coaster, but I couldn't be happier.💖There is a saying among the "mommy crowd" that if your first baby was easy, it's a trick to make you want more children in the future. Maybe I'm being tricked because to be honest, my daughter is not only easy, but she is incredibly patient and has a very quiet demeanor.
But I have no plans to have another baby yet... I've been enjoying my peaceful sunny days with her. ^-^ It is pretty amazing just how much having a child changes you. I find myself a lot more nurturing and patient toward my loved ones. All the spots in me that have emotionally grown hard over the years, became much softer. Granted, when I was pregnant, that was another story...I was such a butt head while I was pregnant! I was awful. My mother said I have to go back to Japan the next time I become pregnant because she doesn't want to be near me during that time again! lol I can't blame her. They say when a woman becomes pregnant you have to be very patient, I learned that wasn't just a myth. ^ ^;; However now, I just feel so much at peace. I don't regret having her at all. In fact, now I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't had her. She is such a lovely child. So anyway, to continue from my last announcement post, the nurse urged me to go to the ward office so I could register the pregnancy. I actually didn't registry the pregnancy as I was planning on moving back to the states in order to give birth while surrounded with family. I'm actually glad I did that since, Covid started and I probably would've gotten stuck in Japan with little- to no support. However I took a mental note of just how supportive and kind the Japanese maternity staff was. The clinic wasn't located in Tokyo but it was very clean and I felt extremely comfortable. If I decide to have more babies, I will probably have them in Japan next time! However I must admit, the hospital in America that I gave birth in was very beautiful and the food was mouth watering! But giving birth was such a quick and amazing experience! I actually had a C-section so I didn't have to experience the pain of labor. I literally went to the hospital the day of my surgery, the staff explained a few things to me, the surgery started and I met my daughter 5 minutes into the surgery! So quick! My mother took a video without the staff noticing and she got everything on camera! lol The video quality is also amazing. I may upload it on my blog at some point...maybe. But my doctor did a fantastic job. You honestly can't even tell I had a baby. The scar is only a small pinky size in length and it's so faded that you can't even see it. I also don't have any stretch marks or saggy skin but that's because of all the shea butter I used. lol Her name is Moemi, she was born May 6, 2020, with a full set of hair, 7 lbs, 21 inches long! 4 days old 1 week 4 days old 3 weeks old 1 month 2 weeks old 2 month 1 week 5 days 2 month 2 weeks 5 days 2 month 3 weeks 3 days The rest of the photos are between 2 months and 4 months! She has grown a lot in such a short time ( her hair as well)! she has a heart birth mark ♡ My brother and Moemi My dad and Moemi while we went to visit my brother. She is becoming much more aware now so I have to be careful about what I say around her. Also believe it or not, into her 2 months she already said "Okay" and "mama". Whenever I leave the room and she's hungry she cries and says "mama". And when I was on the phone with my dad he said "Okay" and she repeated him and he heard it! Thankfully I had a witness lol. She also really enjoys tummy time and was able to lean on her forearms really early on. I wish I had taken record of when she did it exactly. She also rolls really well...TOO well. If she is on her back, she will roll on her stomach and then back on her back. She has fallen off 3 surfaces already, :( so we are currently baby proofing the house. -___ - She has hit all her milestones early so I really need to live in the moment with her to appreciate her at this stage. She is growing so quickly! The pediatrician says she extremely healthy and there are no concerns or complications. I'm so incredibly thankful for that! I will try to update more when I have the extra time! |
