Like I said in my previous post my trip back home was wonderful! I was overjoyed to see my family and friends. However I was disappointed because I got quite sick when I arrived in America and that resulted in me not being able to see all my friends. I'm sure most of them understand.
While I was home I was able to do many things on my "to-do" list. I was able to give all the omiyage that took up half my suitcase to all my family and friends, my dad and I bought a Christmas tree so I could decorate it before I left back to Japan (that's yearly a tradition for me -to decorate the house tree by myself), I read and finished novels that I never got to read, I had lunch with my bff and we discussed and took notes of the book that we're collaborating on- I think it would be easier to say that I did a lot in those two weeks!
Thanksgiving day was amazing, I didn't realize how much I missed my mothers thanksgiving food until I had my first bite of her famous macaroni and cheese! Every single thing was delicious and I felt such a joyous holiday feeling in my heart.
Here are some photos of the first floor of my families home that we own. The basement is slowly turning into a gym and the upstairs area is private ^ ^. I would say the house has a very country western meets African jungle type interior theme.
After we ate I randomly started doing everyone's nails. My cousin, my brother's girlfriend and my mothers. I would've had another set of nails to do but because of a misunderstanding, I didn't have time to do them. Here are the photos. This was my first time doing gel nails on someone else besides myself.:

These are my nails that I did myself.
After I finished doing everyone's nails, I took some photos in front of the Christmas tree with my niece! I'll try to upload more photos from my trip later! Labels: america, gel nails, japan, nail station, thanksgiving |
