Finally it’s that time of year in Japan where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom! Well, at least in Kanagawa and Tokyo. I live in Kawasaki, Kanagawa-about 30 minutes by train from the Shinjuku station in Tokyo. If you google cherry blossoms in Japan you’ll see many articles directing you to famous cherry blossom viewing spots around Tokyo. But if you are anything like me ( don’t like big crowds, enjoy silence and the peace that comes with it) then you may have attempted to find cherry blossoms spots that aren’t very popular or well known.

Thankfully I love to take walks and while going on my daily stroll I came across some very fascinating areas! I took many pictures so I’ll just post them below!
These are spots that are perfect for both Hanami ( cherry blossom viewing party) and simply photo taking.
