I realized I never actually post many photos of the dishes I prepare and cook. I used to cook so much up until a few months ago when I had a fiancé. I used to love the idea of cooking for my future husband.(─‿‿─)♡ Someone I could greet at the door when he came home from work and have a warm dinner and nice hot bath ready for him. A clean, warm and welcoming home that he could feel comfortable and relaxed in.
I assumed he would say it to start a fight on purpose, maybe because he wanted to break up so he came up with a nonsensical fake story. But then after we would fight, he would show up to my apartment and bang on the door for 20-30 minutes (keep in mind he has no idea I’m there but I ignore him because I don’t want to see him) and he knocks as if he knows that I’m in the apartment. Almost as if he had been watching my place. It was weird behavior like that. Even when I broke things off he would still come to my apartment and he still does till this day. I think it would be okay for me to be a bit more open and honest in my posts. Just a little open. There is so much I would prefer to keep to myself, including this situation. But I thought it may be best to be open about it in case anything happens to me.
But back to what I was saying. I used to cook all the time- mainly because I wanted to practice my skills and try new dishes. Not just for my fiancé but for my self growth as well. Recently I became more aware that I haven't been cooking as often as I used to. Even though it's something I love and really enjoy so I decided to get back into it and also document the dishes I prepare.
The photos below are from when I made fried oyster or oyster tempura (I used tempura bread crumbs so I suppose you could call them tempura oysters). The oysters were so incredibly delicious when I fried them! I got the idea when I went to Denny's in Japan (I love Family restaurants in Japan, my goodness). They serve fried oysters and I love them so much so I decided to make my own! Actually many of the foods I cook at home are inspired by family restaurants here in Japan. Though I would like to cook more Korean and French style dishes as well but my kitchen is just soooo tiny! I use my fridge top as a cutting board. lol I'm pretty resourceful when I need to be.
