  8:10 PM | 0 Cloud(s) Pocky Day! ~~~~Nov 11, 2016  I've been terribly sick the last couple of days and my voice is shot completely... It may or may not have been brought on by the shock of the election turn out. So since I'm bed ridden, I asked my friend to bring over a big box of Pocky from Don Quixhote because for some reason out of ALL the snacks in Japan, I was craving pocky the most. Come to find out....today is Pocky day (and Pretz day) in Japan and I had no idea! I haven't even eaten a box a pocky in almost year so it was a pretty big coincidence. 
Now for those of you who are not familiar with Pocky or Pocky day, I'll explain.
Pocky is sweet snack that is basically a thin biscuit stick with most of stick covered in a thin layer of chocolate. Pocky comes in many different flavors; strawberry, matcha (green tea pocky), dark chocolate(men's pocky), white chocolate, crushed almond, etc. They also have many limited edition flavors, seasonal or rare flavors.
Pocky day was created in honor of the yummy snack since November 11 looks like four pocky sticks lined up together.

EDIT: As I was writing this, my friend stopped by with not only pocky but other treats as well! Also an omiyage from Chiba prefecture! Chiba-kun (Chiba's mascot) cookies!
I don't have many friends but I love the ones that I have very very much!
