Okay so today I decided to "play" one of my favorite Visual Novels, "Go Go Nippon!". I actually mentioned this game in one of my older posts here! The special thing about the game is that it's meant for Gaijin (foreigners outside of Japan). Basically the game is about a young man who takes his first trip to Japan. He (you) will be staying in Tokyo for just a week. Originally the main character (you) believes that he will be staying with two Japanese brothers around his age but when he lands in Japan, he finds out the two pen-pals that he has been conversing with in a chat room, are actually girls! Two Japanese sisters with names that are normally male names....I still don't understand how he had no idea that they were girls..but it's all part of the story line! ![]() So the game actually gives you ( the main character) plenty of tips when visiting (or even moving to) Tokyo, Japan. Also in the beginning of the game, you can input the current conversion rate between USD to JPY or EUR to JPY. Doing so helps when the girls show you around Tokyo and you spend money on train fare or food-when you go out to eat. It basically shows how much you'll be speyh6nding if you were really in Tokyo. Also another example of how the game helps you, when the main character lands at the airport, the sisters explain to the main character what a SUICA or PASMO card is. Those cards are basically prepaid metro cards you can buy at train stations. So the main character decides to add 5,000 Yen (44 usd) to his card and off they go! ![]() So each day the main character (you) can decide on where to go. But you only get to go with one of the sisters, while the other sister stays home. Each sister has her own style. The older sister is more mature so when you choose places like "Ginza"( Ginza is recognized by being one of the most luxurious shopping districts in the world), you go with the older sister. ![]() The younger sister however has a more otaku, (geek) style so if you choose a place like "Akihabara"(Akihabara is considered by many to be an otaku cultural center and a shopping district for video games, anime, manga, and computer goods) then you will end up with the younger sister. ![]() This game is not only a "virtual tour guide" but also a "dating sim". If most of the places you pick end up with one particular sister being your guide, then you will end up with that sister at the end. Like if you choose Ginza and all the other places that the older sister will accompany you to, then you will become romantically involved with the older sister at the end of the game. ![]() In my opinion, the game is a great way for you to get an idea of all the places you want to visit while visiting Tokyo. A really awesome itinerary. It also has a cute story line. ![]() ![]() ![]() You can download the game online, just google "Go Go Nippon online download" or you can support the creators by buying it from here!
