  1:18 PM | 0 Cloud(s) Military Discharge Cake ♬~~Oct 27, 2015 Today I made a cake for a friend who recently got discharged from the Army. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ I knew I wanted to make this cake two weeks ago so I actually made a practice cake before making this one. I'm not too experienced with baking cakes or baking in general so I wanted to make sure I did it right.  Though my friend was discharged, he told me today that he is still part of the IRR (Inactive Ready Reserve). Which means he would be required to be sent overseas if the need arises. So I thought a cake might make him feel a bit better.      
I even made a mini cake for my brother with the top of the cake that I cut off.
 
& here is the finished result!
   
I sent him home with it so he could share it with his family as well. They said they liked it so I may do some more baking in the near future!

Update: My goodness, looking back on it, that was such an ugly cake. lol
