Veterans Day Breakfast at The White House (forwarded from other blog!) ~~~Dec 29, 2014

*Note: This post was forwarded from my other blog. I mentioned in an older post, that I would transfer all the blog posts from my other private blog, onto my new one.  Once I'm done transferring all the posts I'll delete my other blog. I still have a few more stories to transfer over.
This post was originally written, 11/12/13:

This year I was invited to attend the Veterans Day breakfast at the White House and wreath-laying ceremony at the Arlington Cemetery. My father is General Counsel of Department of Veteran Affairs so every year that Obama has been in office, both my parents have been invited to the Breakfast.
My mom figured she would let me have the opportunity to go this year. I was overjoyed and very thankful that she let me go in her place. The last time I visited the White house was at the Christmas dinner gala in 2012. I saw the president and he made a speech with Michelle Obama by his side but we weren't able to talk to him. So I was overjoyed knowing I'd be able to get photo op's with not only the President but also Vice President, Joe Biden.
When Obama shook my hand and started asking me questions, I'll admit I was a bit star struck. He is a lovely person but he is very intimating to be around. I believe that's why he reminds me of my father.
Joe Biden on the other hand was so witty and fun. I could really see myself hanging out with someone like him.
Awesome men, truly.
I'll post the photo op pictures of the president and Vice President once my dad receives them.

I want to take this time to say thank you to all the veterans and men who are currently serving.
Thank you so much!!

Oh I forget to mention, I also got a picture with David Robinson from the San Antonio Spurs!

David Robinson!
