Happy Valentines Day!~~~ Feb 14, 2014

With or without a relationship, we shouldn't expect love from others.....

When we expect love from others we might be disappointed........

Demand not!

Expect not!

DIY~  make your own happiness......

Be your own Valentine!

"Valentine" can mean many things......

A hot mineral bath is my skins valentine.

coconut oil are my lips valentine

kind words are my hearts valentine

My parents, brothers, pets and friends are my Valentine.

When there's no one to light up your love, why not light up some incense?

Let the incense be your Valentine for the night.............

Fill your life with precious memories instead of waiting on love......

Keep in mind that you will be loved but you should always love yourself!

Spread love today and everyday....

Do not spread lies

Do not spread hatred

Do not spread rumors

Valentine's day is about expressing love to your loved ones, to yourself and to the whole world!

This year I celebrated Valentines day the Japanese way- yet again! Though I'm not in Japan at the moment, it's more fun celebrating Valentine's the Japanese way in my opinion. You see In Japan, it is customary for women to give chocolate to the men on Valentine’s Day. In return, the men will give the women a gift on White Day in March.

In Japan, chocolate that women give co-workers or classmates who they have no romantic interest in are called  giri choco, which means "courtesy chocolate."

But when a girl has a love interest (crush), boyfriend or husband she will give him Honmei-choco, which means "true love chocolate." Honmei- choco is either expensive store brought chocolate or home made chocolate.

I decided to make Honmei-choco, since it's becoming a yearly tradition for me.

I made pancake balls with melted chocolate toppings. The melted chocolate hardened in the fridge and so the chocolate would crack when you bite into them. Very yummy!
